Position Scope:
Extend Health is seeking a seasoned IT professional with Microsoft superpowers. We won’t ask you to change the course of mighty rivers or bend steel with your bare hands. However, the ideal candidate will be able to build internal business partnerships, develop others, challenge the status quo and offer creative solutions to business issues.
The Director of IT will partner with CTO to lead all IT efforts across the Company. The role will require a business-oriented leader who recognizes changing market dynamics and can effectively partner across all areas of the Company.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
· Develop and monitor technology strategy ensuring an alliance with corporate needs and review metrics and make recommendations based on business values.
· Evaluate technology selection.
· Ensure all systems and processes are running and secure and that technical services are being delivered to internal/external client (over 500 users).
· Coordinate with CTO to support other area’s needs for technical resources.
· Drive IT policies, procedures and process.
· Interacting cross-functionally, with executive teams to communicate technology strategy in relevant business terms.
Required Superpowers:
· Bachelor’s Degree required/MBA is a plus
· A minimum of 14 years recent experience leading a team. At least 7 of these years must include management responsibility & oversight of IT Infrastructure technical team
· Proven track record in effectively interacting cross-functionally, with executive teams to communicate technology strategy in relevant business terms
· Proven experience as a successful IT leader, with a focus on fiscal responsibility.
· Work experience must include oversight of enterprise technology areas including messaging, network (LAN and WAN), voice, network security, risk management, data infrastructure, and SOX compliance.
· Proven experience with internal application development and management
· Experience implementing best practices for technology management.
· Must provide evidence of increased managerial responsibility and technical growth.
· Strong initiative and management skills; ability to work in both a self-directed and team environment.
· Must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently, work under deadlines, maintain budget, and be able to produce under a mission critical environment.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to recognize the needs of the user community and provide innovative and cost effective solutions to solve problems.
· Experience with vendor/carrier relationship management and negotiation.
· CCNP preferred.
· CMM experience is a plus.
